Empower Community Connection: Mural Making

“A tree can be only as strong as the forest that surrounds it.” ― Peter Wohlleben. Creating as a group is a powerful way to appreciate each others ideas, skills and perspectives. The process fosters empathy, understanding, and cooperation. Ultimately it builds stronger connections and an expanded sense of community. By the end of the process you will have collectively created an incredible mural which you can be proud of, individually and collectively.

This service offers:

Empower Social opens opportunities to create, socialise, and collaborate. Creative collaboration manifests diverse perspectives, stimulates reciprocated inspiration, and strengthens connections.  

This service offers:

  • Group sessions only.
  • We can come to you, you can come to us, or we can connect remotely online.
  • Suitable for: neurotypical, neurodiverse, mental distress, intellectual disability, adults, children, teenagers & more.
  • Promotes: Social connection with friends, whānau, or strangers,  self-confidence, identity or team building for groups/roopu, clubs, schools, organisations, workplaces, and more. 
  • Medium & modalities: All. This includes but is not limited to visual arts, dramatic arts, dance/movement, nature-connected arts, creative writing, and poetry.

Empower Well-being:  The Art of Self-care

We all know self-care is important, but it is often difficult to prioritise with the busyness of life. Self-care is not selfish—it is a crucial investment in one's overall well-being and happiness. Whether you want to reflect on practical steps you can take to improve everyday living, de-stress, strengthen your self-esteem, or explore your identity, it is important to take some time out to nurture yourself and your well-being.

Empower Me:  One-on-one tailored sessions

This service offers:

  • One-on-one sessions are for those who do not like working in groups or want their sessions specifically tailored to their goals, needs, and creative preferences.
  • We can come to you, you can come to us, or we can connect remotely online.
  • Suitable for: All, including neurotypical, neurodiverse, mental distress, intellectual disability, adults, children, teenagers & more.
  • Promotes: Self-care, self-confidence, boundaries, mindfulness, sensory exploration, de-stressing, and whatever goals you would like to focus on.
  • Medium & modalities: All. This includes but is not limited to visual arts, dramatic arts, dance/movement, nature-connected arts, creative writing, and poetry. You choose what you would like to work with. This is great if you have a preference for a particular type of art, or want to explore something you haven't tried before.
